COMPONENT SEGMENTS

Dornbirn (AT): At the luminaire plant in Dornbirn, several measures were implemented in the powder coating area to reduce energy consumption and increase efficiency. Since January 2025, powder coatings with a curing temperature of 160°C have primarily been used instead of 190°C. In addition, the switch-on procedures and the temperature of the curing oven were optimized, reducing energy consumption in the coating process on average from around 600 kWh/h to approximately 500 kWh/h, corresponding to a reduction of around 20%. As natural gas is predominantly used, this resulted in a reduction of around 37 tCO₂e in Scope 1. In addition, the glazing in the goods receiving area was renewed, further improving the building’s energy efficiency. Overall, the total energy consumption of the luminaire plant was reduced by around 2% compared to the previous year (previous year: 23,586 MWh). To increase transparency regarding energy consumption, around 100 additional electricity meters and six heat meters were installed. At the components plant in Dornbirn, two soldering systems were also replaced by a more energy-efficient system, further reducing energy consumption. In addition, at the Höchsterstraße administration site, the existing gas heating system was fully replaced by renewable district heating in the 2025/26 financial year, reducing CO₂e emissions from building heating at this site by almost 95%. Lemgo (DE): By converting the roof-mounted air supply units of the paint shop from direct gas heating to district heating, around 55 tCO₂e were saved. In addition, the redesign of the office area, the use of new lighting equipment and targeted lighting control at production workstations led to further energy savings. Furt- hermore, the targeted shutdown of non-required equipment and areas during the holidays at the end of December resulted in savings of around 44 MWh. Niš (RS): At the Niš site, the focus in the last financial year was on optimizing building air conditioning and compres- sed air systems. Through numerous measures, such as the targeted control and shutdown of equipment and systems, as well as the implementation of an automatic operating schedule for the air conditioning systems since August 2025, total energy consumption was reduced by around 5%. During August and September 2025 alone, energy savings of 10.6 MWh were achieved through the optimization of the air conditioning systems. Based on these results, annual energy savings of around 30 MWh are expected. The energy consumption of the compressed air supply for production processes was reduced through optimized control and the use of energy-saving profiles. Spennymoor (UK): In the past financial year, this site focused on optimizing hot water systems for production and operational purposes. Through system improvements and the use of new control units, a total of 80 MWh of energy was saved. As the hot water supply is gas-based, this corresponds to a reduction of 16 tCO₂e. In addition, energy consumption in the components area was reduced by around 3 MWh through targeted switch- on and switch-off processes, which had a positive impact on the site's baseload energy consumption. Further savings were achieved through projects to improve the overall equipment effectiveness of the powder coating process, which further reduced gas consumption. In parallel, the PV system at the site is fully operational and has generated 736 MWh of renewable electricity since its installation, increasing the share of renewable energy at the site. In addition, the installation of LightCOACH enabled demand-based and optimized lighting control. Shenzhen (CN): In addition, a new energy monitoring system has been implemented since January 2026, increasing transparency regarding energy consumption. Furthermore, an intelligent air conditioning control system was introduced, which regulates operation based on demand and time of day, thereby reducing energy consumption.
