Energy consumption and mix [E1-5]

Targets related to energy [E1-4]

The metrics listed below concerning energy consumption and energy mix cover the entire Zumtobel Group. They include the production and administrative sites, the R&D site in Les Andelys, rented and leased property, plant and equipment, and the entire fleet. The consumption figures for the Zumtobel Group’s manufacturing facilities, inclu- ding the Group’s administrative offices in Dornbirn and the R&D site in Les Andelys, are recorded monthly by local managers in the global Environmental Report. The data source for these figures can include invoices or internal reporting systems. These figures are reported on and reviewed on a monthly basis at a global meeting convened by the COO. The figures and trends then need to be clarified and reported by the site mana- ger. Information on the respective energy mix is based on data provided by suppliers. As part of the data collection process for rented and leased property, plant and equip- ment, an annual survey is carried out to de- termine the consumption of electricity and heating energy. It is generally quite straight- forward to monitor electricity consumption. By contrast, heating energy consumption often cannot be measured directly, as in many rental properties it is included as a flat-rate charge in the rent. To determine the relevant energy consumption figures, the reported data is used to calculate a specific energy requirement per square metre for electricity and heating. This average figure is then applied to facilities for which no consumption data is available. No distinction is made between different types of property. The energy mix for electricity is determined on the basis of country-specific datasets from the ecoinvent database. This ensures that due account is taken of national elect- ricity generation structures. In the current reporting year, the Ecoinvent database was used to determine the energy mix.

E1-4, T6 | The Zumtobel Group has set an energy-saving target of 78,800 MWh for its own production sites for 2026/27. In the 2025/26 financial year, these sites consumed around 77,900 MWh of energy. The target takes into account an expected increase in production volume and aims to improve energy efficiency. E1-4, T7 | With regard to increasing the share of renewable energy at its own production sites, the Zumtobel Group has set itself the goal of raising this to 64.8% by 2026/27. The share currently stands at 64% for the Zumtobel Group based on its own production sites.

Both targets contribute to the science- based Net Zero target by addressing energy efficiency at production sites and striving to improve the energy mix. The targets are monitored and assessed based on monthly measurements of energy consumption and energy mixes. No stakeholders outside the Zumtobel Group were involved in defining these targets. Target achieved in 2025/26: Target attain- ment in the previous years solely relates to the production sites (not including the sales offices).

Energy-saving target: The target of a 3% reduction for 2025/26 has been achieved: Renewable energy: The target of increa- sing the share of renewable energy in the energy mix at production sites to 63.7% was reached with a 64% share achieved.
