Nats win some and lose some

The team annihilated the Kanata Lasers 5-0 onThur- sday, October 5, but was defeated 6-3 by the Brockville Braves on Friday, October 6.The Nats brought home another win against the Kemptville 73’s during the CCHL Showcase at the CIHArena onThanksgivingMonday, October 9, beating them 4-2. The Nats took home a big win against the Kanata Lasers Oct. 5, during an away game. Nats goalie Zach Roy had a perfect game against the Lasers, blocking all 37 shots for his first shutout of the season. Roy earned the title of first star of the game. Dana Engram picked up the second star with his two goals. Cole Lavoie also picked up one of the five Nats’ goals. Aaron Brisebois got three points with a goal and two assists, while Jean-Syl- vain Boyer picked up a goal and an assist. The Nats gave Lasers’ goalie JoeMarcouiller a hard time with 48 shots on net. Connor Beatty, Cole Lavoie andMathieu Blanchette each scored goals against the Brockville Braves Oct. 6. Beatty was named the third star of the game for his goal and one assist. All 12 CCHL teams squared off at the CIHArena for theThanksgiving Showcase on Oct. 9. Cole Lavoie, Dana Engram, Connor Beatty and Aidan Grahamall contributed to the 4-2 win over the 73’s, with a goal each. Goaltender Sean Storr saved 21 of 23 shots. The Nats are home Oct. 13 against the Ottawa Jr. Senators, and Oct. 15, against the Cornwall Colts, duringMinor Hockey Day at the CIH Arena. All participating teams will have a chance to win $500.
