During the week of May 7 to 14, the
Hawkesbury Ontario Provincial Police
detachment responded to 300 occurrences

Assault charge
A 59-year-old man has been charged
with assault after officers were dispatched
to a Stanley Street, Hawkesbury residence
shortly after 6 p.m. Sunday, May 13. A
family argument between a father and his
adult daughter outside the residence had
takenaturnfortheworst.Duringtheheated
argument, the man allegedly pushed his
daughter and hit her vehicle with a
hammer. Damages are evaluated at $500.
The man, who was also charged with
mischief, is scheduled to appear in
L’Orignal court June 6.
Public intoxication charges
A traffic stop in the early morning of
May 13 on Hamilton Street, Hawkesbury
resulted in two men being charged. At
about 3:30 a.m. Frédérick Filion, 21, of Bay
Road, L’Orignal, had his driver’s licence
suspended for three days when his blood
alcohol level was shown to be in the “warn
range,”policesay. Apassenger,Emmanuel
Lapensée, 20, of Québec City, was charged

He was later released.
