The company is a provider of packaging solutions to food, beverage and other con- sumer products companies. Mark Andy Print Products , the supplies and con- sumables division of Mark Andy Inc., was appointed the preferred distributor of Praxair Surface Technolo- gies’ Proline and Novaline ceramic laser-engraved anilox rolls for narrow web presses in North America. All Printing Resources (APR) formed a partner- ship with Colordyne Technologies and its portfolio of inkjet digital print products.Within Colordyne’s port- folio is the 3600 Series Retrofit, a technology that brings full-color digital printing to an existing flexo- graphic press. Coveris , a global packaging and coatings supplier, acquired Supraplast, a shrink sleeve and adhesive label technologies company based in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Supraplast has a broad product offering that includes shrink sleeves, self-adhesive labels, safety seals, PVC and PET shrink films. Terinex , based in the UK, acquired fellow UK firm QC Packaging Films as it seeks to exploit growth in the printed flexible packaging market.
Labelink Products Inc. , a manufacturer of labels, flexible packaging and RFID products in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, acquired Flexo Labels, its fifth acqui- sition. Located in Anjou, near Montreal, Flexo Labels has been serving its customers since 1980, and uses both flexo and digital printing technologies. MarketResearch.com , Washington, DC, a supplier of market research solutions and services, completed its acquisition of The Freedonia Group, a global cre- ator of industry research reports and consulting ser- vices for more than 30 years. Flint Group issued a binding offer to Siegwerk to acquire its web offset business. This offer included the transfer of all technical expertise and product portfolios relating to Siegwerk’s Heatset and Newsink product lines. Bizerba , headquartered in Balingen, Germany, a supplier of weighing, cutting and labeling technolo- gy, acquired Mac & Label, Cesena, Italy, a company specialized in labeling applicators for the fruit and vegetable sector. PC Industries , an inspection system manufacturer in Gurnee, Illinois, and UK-based Verification Systems Limited (VSL) reached an agreement for PC Indus- tries to acquire VSL.
