2023 3rd Quarter Crime Report

Larceny/Theft Offenses In the Third Quarter of 2023, the total number of Larceny/Theft offenses decreased 7.8% with 4,464 offenses reported compared to 4,842 offenses reported in the Third Quarter of 2022. There were increases in Pocket - picking & Purse - snatching and Shoplifting and decreases in Thefts from Motor Vehicles and Thefts of Motor Vehicle parts and Accessories compared to the Third Quarter of 2022.

Robbery Offenses

In the Third Quarter of 2023, robbery offenses increased 4.3% compared to the Third Quarter of 2022.

Robbery detectives utilize resources within the FBI Task Force, U.S. Marshal Service, Intel Unit, Crime Stoppers, and the Crime Analysis Unit to develop leads. Social media and e - commerce transactions have led to several individual robberies. The Robbery Unit utilizes news media, social media, and Neighborhood Police Officers to remind the community who engage in online sales to remain aware of their surroundings and highly encourage the use of the following City of Fort Worth e - commerce trade site locations.
