We’re very proud of how hard she worked to get here.” During her two days of effort at the Elite Canada event, Fiset’s strongest effort showed on the balance beam where she placed fifth with a 27.3-point score, close on the heels of the leader’s 29.8 points. The Saint Francis Xavier Falcons made a fi- nal sweep of the season’s schedule in senior boys high school basketball after bringing down the St. Thomas Aquinas Ravens 35- 27 in home court action Feb. 5. Coach Scott Stoqua reported that the Falcons led the scoreboard in every quarter period until the final buzzer. “At one point we were up by 20 points,” Stoqua said. Top shooters for the Falcons during the Wednesday match were point guard John- ny Fidaoui with 13 points and shooting guard Zach Barber with 11. Coach Stoqua described the overall play for both teams as “sloppy” and noted that the Falcons suffered many “turnover” situ- ations on the court when the Ravens were able to recover some of their scoring defi- cit and almost take the lead away from the home team.
