CEA SHOWCASES INNOVATION AT ANNUAL AWARDS GALA After making their marks on industry, a number of professional engineers in Alberta have received marks of their own: recognition at the annual Consulting Engineers of Alberta (CEA) Showcase Awards Gala in February. Winning big at the gala, held in Calgary, was Art Washuta, P.Eng. , who received the Lieutenant Governor’s Award for distinguished service. Mr. Washuta is a CEA and a member of the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies Canada Board. Diana Smith, P.Eng. , accepted the Harold L. Morrison Award, presented annually to rising young professionals. Ms. Smith is a mechanical engineer with DIALOG . Twelve Awards of Excellence and 10 Awards of Merit were presented to 16 companies demonstrating an exceptional degree of project quality, imagination, and innovation. They were chosen from 47 submissions.
