working with Crayola and a large team of designers locally and from around the country to expand and restructure the area attraction since April 2012. The 60,000 s/f facility con- sists of five different dated structures and required intense pre-construction planning to work around existing ten- ants and limited closing dates. Boyle provided construction management services on the project, and was responsible for providing cost budgeting and value engineering, pro- curement schedule, and overall project schedule. The procurement of materi- als for the Crayola ‘experi- ences’ was carefully planned and executed in concert with the physical changes to the building. With 15 weeks total for construction, including only 3 months closed to the public, (six weeks for construction, six weeks for exhibit installation), Boyle carefully orchestrated contractors and equipment providers. Ken duerholz , vice president of Boyle Construc- tion, summed up the project by saying, “It was a challenge to get all the building changes and exhibits constructed on time for the Memorial Day opening, and I’m proud of the entire team of
