SECTION 6: TIME AWAY FROM WORK

Vacation Vacation time is time away from work to relax and pursue special interests important to you and your family. Paid vacation is accrued each pay period (26 pay periods per year) based on your employment classification and on your length of VOP service (relative to your regular full-time or regular part-time hire date or adjusted hire date in case of rehire), as shown in the table below (stated in hours).

Employees may use vacation in increments of one-tenth or more hours. Cash payments to active employees will not be made in lieu of taking vacation. However, at the end of each calendar year, employees who have a vacation balance greater than the maximum allowed accrual will have the excess vacation hours added to their sick bank.
