Battle packs a good number of places to eat and drink into its compact streets, ranging from homemade cakes at the Bluebells Tearoom to authentic Thai cuisine in the atmospheric setting of a 17th century cottage and woodfired pizzas at Rustico. Pubs with food abound, with charcuterie boards, tapas and hearty pies on offer at The Railway Country Pub and famously generous Sunday roasts at The Abbey Hotel Restaurant, as well as a string of traditional pubs in the surrounding villages.
