The Hawks lose at home but win the away game

Charles Levesque of the Hawks changed the tide and scored for his team halfway through the second period, bringing the match to a tie. Canadians’ Alex Friesen scored four minutes later, which turned the table on the Hawks. Early on in the third period, Aiden Girduckis of the Canadians, sealed the Hawks’ fate by scoring during a power play. The match ended 3-1 for the Carleton Place Canadians. On February 20, the Hawkesbury Hawks
traveled to Cornwall to face the Colts. In the first period alone, nine penalties were given out, four of those to Hawks play- ers, a lot of penalties but no goals in the first period. Justin McCrae of the Colts scored the first goal of the game five minutes into the second period. Eric Theander of the Hawks scored a few minutes later bringing the game to a tie. Four more penalties were given in the third period but just like the first one, no goals. The game then went in overtime. David Jankowski of the Hawks, assisted by Jonathan Cyr, managed to score in overtime ending the game 2-1 for the Hawks.
The Hawks lost their home game to the Carleton Place Canadians this past Friday, but managed to win their away game in Cornwall against the Colts Monday night. The past two Hawks games were riddled with penalties for both teams, 10 penalties were given during their home game against the Carleton Place Canadians and 13 penal- ties were handed out on their away game, nine of these given in the first period.
