Christmas in Harrogate A tour featuring some of Yorkshire’s most popular destinations. From our base in delightful Harrogate we o4er a really interesting drive around Emmerdale country and villages. With plenty of time to explore Harrogate and relax in the town centre hotel. Day 1 This morning we depart from home and travel to Harrogate, arriving late afternoon at the Cedar Court Harrogate Hotel for our 4 night dinner, bed and breakfast stay. Tea/co4ee or Sherry and mince pies will be served on arrival and after dinner you can enjoy some hotel entertainment. Day 2 Our day begins with an ‘Emmerdale’ drive, taking us through the beautiful countryside featured on the opening credits of the programme as we make our way to the tiny village of Esholt – ‘Beckindale’ and then ‘Emmerdale’ for many years. We then head for the former spa town of Ilkley, sheltered by Ilkley Moor and the Cow and Calf Rocks. We return to the hotel in time for an Afternoon tea with finger sandwiches, cakes and scones with jam & cream, selection of cakes. Spend your afternoon relaxing at the hotel and get ready for a festive quiz. Tonight, we enjoy a Christmas Banquet dinner followed by Christmas carols with mulled wine, tea or co4ee and mince pies. Day 3 Today brings us to Christmas Day! Swap presents before enjoying a traditional four course Christmas Lunch with hats and crackers. Afterwards, you can listen to the Queen’s speech where tea/co4ee and Christmas cake will be served for you to enjoy. In the evening, you can indulge in a Christmas bu4et with desserts, followed by entertainment of bingo at the hotel. Day 4 Today we have a day at leisure, perhaps you could explore Harrogate at your own pace and enjoy the sights and sounds of the historic spa town. Tonight’s dinner is followed by evening entertainment of a festive quiz. Day 5 After a leisurely breakfast we depart and head for home.
The Cedar Court Hotel Harrogate is a Grade II listed building and was Harrogate’s first hotel. It enjoys a peaceful location in landscaped grounds close to the town centre and provides spacious and well- equipped accommodation. Public areas include open plan lounge and bar.
