We have a great club today with an active membership, talented and dedicated professional staff, and two campuses full of possibilities, but it will take honorable and transparent leadership to help this club thrive for the next 100 years. NONE NONE List areas of expertise or special qualifications that will be of benefit to the ANCC: I bring unique professional perspectives to ANCC that would help me advance the club’s goal of deepening engagement among military and civilian citizens bound together by our shared fraternal and patriotic spirit. By the time of our annual meeting, I will be a recently retired senior State Department manager and regulator, having led a team that managed cross border energy infrastructure permitting. I will also bring my incumbent experience as the citizen Chair of Alexandria’s Transportation Commission and as an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown. My diplomatic, and most importantly — listening and community engagement skills — will be helpful as the board transparently engages all members of our club community on capital improvement projects. Once the membership votes on the scope of these investments, my former federal and city regulatory skill sets will inform my independent advice to the board and club management as they approach Arlington Commissions and Arlington City Hall on the wide range of water and land use permits the club will need to enact any changes. I know we can do so in a spirit of transparency and candor. Why do I want to serve on the Board of Governors: I am a lifelong golfer, swimmer and tennis player. Being a member of ANCC is a great honor. My late father was an Army Major who served in New Guinea in WWII and I have been an officer in the national security field my entire career and am a civilian member. Our Club provides a unique opportunity to foster greater engagement between military and civilian leaders and I want to contribute to this historic tradition. There are
