Nominees for the Board of Governors 2025
Once that commitment is made we can move to the decision on the Arlington course renovation, which if approved, will result in significant closure of the Arlington courses. Luckily, if we proceed as I envision, we will have the newly enhanced Fairfax facility to receive those Arlington players who’ve not yet discovered the well-kept secret of the Fairfax experience. In my opinion, as a 31 year member of the Club, our facilities at both campuses, have never been better. The golf courses, the pools, the racquet courts and the dining facilities are superb. I believe we should consolidate our position by first upgrading our Fairfax facility to be followed by necessary improvements to the Arlington golf courses. We can address our current imbalance of utilization by giving members additional reasons for enjoying the Fairfax experience. I’ll close by saying it was a privilege serving on the Board for nine years of my thirty one years as a member and I’d like to thank Chairman Delaney and the rest of the team for the superb job they have done over the last several years. With your vote I hope to again serve on the Board. No matter the outcome of the election I look forward to seeing you all on the course, in the pool or in the Club.
