The place—“The valley of Jehosha- phat” (Joel 3:12). * The time—"The glorious appearing of Christ” (Tit. 2:13; cf. Matt. 25:31). The result—Some saved; some lost (Matt. 25:34, 41>. C. I. Scofield has made a list of con-, trasts between this judgment and the Great White Throne. Phrases below numbered (1) refer to the Judgment of the Living Nations, and those numbered (2) deal with the Great White Throne Judgment: (1) No resurrection; (2) a resurrection. (1) Living nations judged; (2) the dead judged. While the p r i m a r y m e a n i n g of “brethren’' here refers to the Jewish Remnant, yet, I believe, it is still true that whatever we do to any one in the name of Christ and for His glory is done for Him. Still a third judgment scene is fore told in the Word of God—“The Judg ment Seat of Christ” (2 Cor. 5:10). At this judgment, only Christians will be present. On the merit of Christ’s death for us, we who believe have received already the gift of eternal life (Rom. 6:23). But our rewards for service Will vary according to the manner in which we have used our God-given opportuni ties on the earth. “Only one life; ’twill soon be past.
