beyond acceptable? Tighter control? More restrictions? More fear and paranoia? I’m 77 years young and have lived through at least four previous flu scares. This one must be handled the same way... until everyone on the planet is exposed andwe collectively build an immunity, this thingwill never go away, which I’m convinced is the plan. – DickW. Kim Iskyan Response: Dick, thanks for your e-mail. It seems to me that effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines may well be an issue. But we have to start somewhere. It’s a step in the right direction. In my view, our personal freedoms can only expand and improve with a vaccine – because we’ll be able to be around each other again without fearing that we’re spreading potentially lethal germs. And this isn’t the flu... this is a lot worse. I don’t think it’s anyone’s plan that this never goes away. Some people might argue with how COVID-19 deaths are categorized... various co-morbidities... that some of the people who are passing away because of COVID-19 would have died soon anyway. Science isn’t a matter of opinion, though. And there is no grand conspiracy. It’s a dire and deadly thing. And I believe, yes, it really is that bad. Kim, I always enjoy your articles, thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge. I do have to comment on this article, and up front I admit to being a Covid vaccine sceptic. I am not anti-vax, but I am, I think, realistic about outcomes and safety. You know there has never been a truly successful flu vaccine, ever. Yes we have yearly versions that, if the pharma companies guessed correctly on the strain(s) that year, are 40-60% effective. That’s the best-case scenario. Most years it’s 10%-40%. My concern is this: what happens to our personal freedom when the beta versions of the vaccine turn out to be less than effective? Or when the side effects are
