Zuck Hanson Dr. Roy B. Zuck, Scripture Press staff member, received his Doctor of The­ ology Degree last month from Dallas Theological Seminary. Mr. Zuck, a graduate of Biola, is Manager of the Training Horn- publications for the Wheaton, Illinois, publishing firm. Mr. Paul Michelson, formerly organist for the Billy Graham Crusades, has opened a new recording company, Supreme Recordings, Inc., in Glen­ dale. Artists signed for the company are Ed Lyman, Joseph Bellesi, Helene landrum, Al Garr, and Robert T. Munns. Rev. Calvin B. Hanson has been select­ ed President of the new Trinity Junior College scheduled to be opened September 1962 at Langley, British Columbia. The school is sponsored by the Evangelical Free Church of America. Mr. Hanson is a former missionary to Japan. Dr. Robert A. Cook, Vice-President of Scripture Press, has been selected as one of the key speakers for the Youth For Christ International Convention held July 2nd through 16th at W in­ ona Lake, Indiana. Also added to the schedule are Dr. Merv Rosell and Rev. Mel Johnson. Robert Harkness passed away in a London hospital May 8, 1961, accord­ ing to word from Cutler B. Whitewell of the Old Fashioned Revival Hour. Mr. Harkness was badly injured in an auto accident in Australia this Spring, when the man in whose car he was riding had a heart attack. Miss Kushryer Folmer, a former Biola stu­ dent, was Mr. Harkness’ secretary. William R. Garfield of the Evangeli­ cal Alliance Mission, is the new act­ ing president of the Kwan Dong Col­ lege in South Korea. When poverty of the Korean economy caused difficulty in the operation of the secular college, it was turned over to the Evangelical Alliance Mission on the condition that the Mission would continue the school. The institution is an accredit­ ed college of commerce. R. E. Glaze, Jr., associate professor of New Testament and Greek at New

Orleans Baptist Theological Semi­ nary, has written a new edition of the book “ Interpreting the New Testa­ ment” which was originally written by H. E. Dana and first released un­ der the title “ Searching the Scrip­ tures.” Dr. Dana’s outline has been followed, dividing the book into two parts: history, and practice of inter­ pretation. Dr. Walter L. Wil­

son, of the Central Bible Church, Kan­ sas City, Mo., was recently honored at a fellowship dinner after serving as pas­ tor of the Central Bible Church for more than forty years. Dr. Wilson, who just celebrated

his eightieth birthday, received many letters from friends across the country during the surprise occasion. He speaks at Biola Summer Conferences. John B. Anderson who serves the 16th district of Illinois in the House of Representatives, was one of the main speakers at the 77th annual confer­ ence of the Evangelical Free Church of America, recently held in Green Lake, Wisconsin. Dr. Arnold T. Olson, president of the EFCA announced that the theme of the conference was “ According to Thy Word.” Charles H. Troutman of Sydney Aus­ tralia, has been appointed general director of Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship, and will assume his duties in Chicago on September 1. Mr. Troutman succeeds C. Stacy Woods, who resigned to devote his time to the International Fellowship of Evan­ gelical Students. Clarence Hiebert of the Mennonite Central Committee, Inc., announced that 81 missionaries and Christian workers were present at the Tannen- hohe retreat in Southern Germany. The next Inter - Mission Christian Worker’s Conference is scheduled for May 7-11, 1962.
