AWA Honors Excellence In Sleeving
AWA Alexander Watson Associates launched its Inter- national Sleeve Label Awards five years ago to reward quality and originality in the design, production, and end-use of all types of sleeve labels. This year’s winners received their awards at a cere- mony during the recent AWA International Sleeve Label Conference and Exhibition inAmsterdam, Netherlands. Heat Shrink The award for heat shrink TD sleeves was given to Reynders Etiketten (BE) for its Peachtree Peach Li- queur bottle labels for De Kuyper Royal Distillers. Printed UV flexo on 50 micron PET, spot varnished, and inside-printed with cold foil. Sleeved cans Berkshire Labels Ltd (UK) was awarded for its work in sleeve labels in cans for its sleeves on Titsey Brew- ing Company’s Innes Lager,which were digitally print- ed on 45 micron PET. Environmental Contribution A third award was given to CCL Label GmbH (AT) for a sleeve label delivering a notable environmental innova-
