Life has been most interesting since I set foot on the base, which is quite a little community. It has a school, church, com missary, hangar, radio tower, post office, etc. I am teaching the fifth and sixth graders in the school. I dearly love this new task the Lord has called me to do. Pray for the eighteen children in my class, and pray for me as I work with them from day to day. We also supply the Indian tribes nearby with their needs. All the things we do on the base we do to enable them to continue their linguistic work.” W. Ruth Casey ’48, Pasco, Washington: “As I have traveled from church to church, my heart has been challenged deeply by some of the people, to whom I have talked and by the messages of some of God’s servants whom I have heard. I spoke in churches in Oregon and Washington. It’s a joy to be back in West Africa.” Thais Good ’49, Ethiopia, Africa: “As 1959 approaches the end, I take mental inventory on how much more I should have done. We still have the serious prob lems, the fears, the desires, the unrest. The old stability is being replaced by the revo lutionary. No Ethiopians here are stirring to take the Message to the Gugie Gallas to the east of us. We make the trip once a month or so, but they need someone to go over and over the simple story with them. Reports come that many of them are turn ing to demon worship. Recently our com pound saw a stream of believers and others converge for three days of worship and Word-fest. God was here in their praises, in their giving, in their promise to go, and
