AMPUS Growing interest has been created in the sale of FM radios. The Biola Book Room, managed by Mr. F. J. Wiens, has received samples and a large stock of most FM radios on the market today. The leading model in sales seems to be Packard-Bell which has built in what is known as “ auto matic frequency control.” (This keeps the set from drifting off of the sta tion.) FM Radios in Biola Book Room FM continues to grow across the country. While figures are not avail able in other areas, recent reports for Southern California are encouraging. There are now 1,217,000 homes that have FM receivers with more than 7,000 new FM sets being sold month ly. The average age of listeners is in the bracket of 18 to 39.
