tirely too lightly these days. Alcohol ism is not merely like mumps or measles, it is definitely caused by sin. A remedy must be taken, and that is salvation through Jesus Christ. We are unalterably opposed to this whole devilish business of drink. It is one of the worst curses upon our land today. THE RED SEA PLACE Have you come to the Red Sea place in your life. Where, In spite of all you can do, There is no way out, there is no way back, There is no other way but — through? Then wait on the Lord with a trust serene Till the night of your fear Is gone: He will send the wind, He will heap the floods, When He says to your soul, "Go on." And His hand will lead you through— clear through— ' Ere the watery walls roll down, No foe can reach you, no wave can touch, No mightiest sea can drown: The tossing billows may rear their crests. Their foam at your feet may break, But over their bed you shall walk dry shod In the path that your Lord will make. In the morning watch, 'neath the lifted cloud, You shall see but the Lord alone, When He leads you on from the place of the sea To land that you have not known: And your fears shall pass as your foes have passed, You shall be no more afraid: You shall sing His praise in a better place, A place that His hand has made. —Annie Johnson Flint

A. God revealed all of these truths to the prophet in vision form. It speaks of Israel’s return to her land as prom ised by the Lord. These bones have been bleaching for a very long time. “Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts’’ (37:11). This is a picture of Israel being scattered throughout the world, suffering, and with no spiritual life. They will be such until the Lord brings them back, clothing them with skin, sinew and muscles. Above all, He places within them the Spirit of God. Israel is going back to her land. We see the initial stages of this coming to pass but the personality is yet lacking, mainly the indwelling Spirit. Q . Coquille, Oregon— “I f all Scripture is written by inspiration of God why does the Bible qwote the sayings of Satan?” A. There is a misunderstanding here concerning the word “inspiration.” It does not mean that every word has been given by God, but rather that every word has been directed by the Holy Spirit to be placed there. There are words in the Bible given by men, by Satan, and even by dumb animals. 32
