God’s Word Is Unquestioned Jer. 31:37
The presence of an Israelite in your city is a definite and positive proof of the inspiration and accuracy of the Word of God. After Israel rejected and cruci fied the Lord Jesus, God scattered them to the four corners of the earth. He had warned them through His prophets that He would do so. Israel lost her national existence and corporate structure about thirty-five years after she rejected her King. The Scripture in this lesson tells of the miracle of the return of these people to Palestine by the drawing power of Christ Jesus. Some day the spirit of migration will enter their hearts and Israel will become the head of the nations. God’s Power Is Questioned Jer. 31:8 As the birds migrate to other climates —as the sunflowers turn their faces toward the sunshine and the sunset—as the waters of the ocean are drawn into the sky to be precipitated on the moun tain tops of God—so His wonderful power will draw Israel back to Himself and to Jerusalem and to Palestine to be come again the head and not the tail, the leaders and not the slaves of this world. They will establish the temple on the site of the mosque. They will be come invincible and all others will bow to them. God’s Love Is Questioned Psa. 89:33 Israel is an undeniable, unavoidable, standing proof of the love of God. Israel has provoked God constantly since Abra ham’s day. She has broken His laws, flouted His authority, rejected His Word, and killed His prophets. Yet in all of this God’s grace has been unfailing and His love has been constantly manifested. They failed but He did not. They reject ed Him but He has not rejected them. No one will ever stand in God’s presence and accuse Him of being unfaithful or un true. He has loved Israel with an ever lasting love.
Our Lord .has said that though heaven and earth pass away, His Word will re main firmly established. This is certain ly proved through God’s dealings with Israel. God has promised severe punish ment to every nation that opposes Israel. He has kept His Word to the letter. The Philistines are gone. Not a trace of the Amalekites can be found. The Hittites have disappeared. The Jebusites are non existent. The Amorites have been blotted out. There are no descendants of the Hivites. Germany is the latest victim. God keeps His Word. God’s Will Is Unquestioned Jer. 33:2« It has been the will of God to separate for Himself from all the nations of the earth the nation of Israel. He gave them a peculiar body, an unusual nature, and a special place in the earth. He an nounced that it was His will that this nation continue through the ages and never be blotted out. This will of God has been and is being fulfilled. Other nations have come and gone; kingdoms have risen and fallen, but Israel con tinues and cannot be either absorbed or obliterated. Nov. 12, 1950 NEEDS CHRISTIANITY CAN MEET Isa. 55:1-7; 61:1-3; Matt. 11:28-30 Hunger and thirst are two great pas sions of life. Hunger for food and thirst for water are primary in our living. There is also hunger for fellowship, for pleasure, and for learning. There is thirst for riches, for honor, and for power. Our Lord assembles all these desires in the two words: bread and milk. The eye is not satisfied with seeing nor the ear with hearing nor the mouth with tasting. God meets all of these desires of the soul in the person of His blessed Son and in the truths of His Word.
