Member Meetings We held an Equity Members Meeting as well as a semi-Annual Membership Meeting on Tuesday, April 26 th with quite different items covered in each meeting. Sadly, some Equity Members did not stay for the second meeting. Any member can go to the website to view the informational slides from the semi-Annual Meeting. Go to the MY CLUB tab and drop down to ANNUAL MEETING PRESENTATIONS to view the slides. Cookout Success! Wow! I am just home from the cookout that we held on Friday, April 29 th ! More than 100 members and guests enjoyed a great evening without really suffering from the rainstorm! We all know we needed that rain! For all of you to know, Chef Jono suggested the cookout and delivered! Steaks, salmon, and chicken were the main courses supported by veggies, spinach salad and Yukon potato salad, delicious Mexican corn, and dessert. The combined tables (aka Fla-mingling!) had many members meeting other members! Know that Chef has many other ideas ready for your enjoyment this summer and during the coming season! Member Services With some of you leaving to go to your summer homes, be sure to check in with Cynthia Hultquist, our Member Services Coordinator, if you need a letter for another Club for the summer. Also, be sure to use the Member App for your mobile phones. Your member card is on your phone. If you load your picture, you can prove to any club that you are a member in good standing! (Feel free to send me your favorite picture to be uploaded to the website roster at vickib777@sbcglobal.net.) Membership Updates We have a waitlist for Full and Social Memberships but are holding names on a waitlist. We do feel that we will clear the list slowly so keep bringing great prospects to us! We also have some Summer Members to welcome to the Club! • Janice & Scott Bordelon have obtained a slip at MIMA and have joined us as Summer Members. They are residents of New Orleans and have been docking at Legacy Harbor previously. • Sammy & Phil Miller and Sharyn & Phil Kampmeyer purchased summer memberships from fund raisers at Marco Island Historical Society and Marco Island Woman’s Club, respectively. We thank these new members for supporting some of the Club’s favorite organizations. Calendars for Summer and Next Season Be sure to click on the links for the rest of season calendar as well as next year’s calendar! We want you to be able to attend as many of our Club Events as possible! We also will be adding other events to FY2023 as the season progresses. Summer Reciprocals Cynthia Hultquist, Member Services Coordinator, will be writing the June-July Membership Column notifying our Equity and Full Members about the Summer Reciprocals. We will be welcoming Summer Reciprocal Members from other Clubs June 1 – October 31. Stay tuned for eblasts and updates! Enjoy the rest of the season and we look forward to seeing you at your Club!
