fold are thy works! In wisdom hast thou made them all: The earth is full of thy riches" Psa. 104:24. One day the psalmist was thinking about God’s greatness and His care and the gifts which He has given for His children to enjoy. The song of praise which the psalmist sang as he thought of God’s greatness is found in Psalm 104. Read verses ten through fourteen to dis cover some of the gifts that God has given to men. Just the two gifts of wa ter and food are gifts that men cannot make. Only God can cause growth and life. A t another time the psalmist said: “ The earth is the Lord’s and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.” People become so proud of their wealth and their positions that they forget that without God’s gifts they could not even live. Only the wisdom of God could have created the world so that none of the planets interfere with one another, the seasons always come in the proper time of the year, and water and food are constantly produced. As the singer [David] listed God’s gifts he sang: “ I w ill sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I w ill sing praise to m y God while I have m y being.” Have you as a Christian boy or a Christian girl ever taken time during your prayer hour to think of all of God’s blessings which only He can give to you? Perhaps you have prayed a short, hurried prayer asking for the things you wanted. Take time to just love God and bless H im for all of His wonderful gifts to you, especially for His most precious gift, the Lord Jesus Christ. Nov. 28, 1954 Our Ever Present Help Roth of the Psalms before us today are on the subject of God as the soul’s true refuge. A ll men need a refuge whether they realize it or not. More than ever because of the turbulent con ditions in the world they are com ing to the end of themselves. What are they to do if they have not a secure refuge Psa. 142; 46:1-3, 10, 11 Pointers on the Lesson

SUNDAY SCHOOL continued uses to set forth the surpassing grandeur of Jehovah. He wears a garment of hon or and majesty. This suggests the beau ty and strength of His character. He covers Himself with light which is sym bolic of the glory of the invisible God (1 Tim . 6:16; Matt. 17:2). H e stretcheth out the heavens as easily as one would stretch a curtain. He layeth the beams of His residence in (or w ith) the waters. He maketh the clouds His chariot. He walketh upon the wings of the wind. In verse 4 it is better to use the A RV which reads, “W h o maketh winds his messen gers; Flames of fire his ministers.” This translation more nearly conforms with the sort of imagery used in the previous verses. Verse 5 simply means that the earth is firm ly fixed b y His power. Praise for His Provision vv. 10-14 The Lord’s beneficent purpose appears beautifully in this section. The springs among the valleys are for the quenching of the thirst of beasts and birds. The wa ter from His chambers makes possible the crops for His living creatures. H e re sponds to the need of the earth for that which produces fertility. The grass and herbs are for the benefit of man and beast. Our Lord is the great Provider. Praise for His Works vv. 24, 33 The emphasis here is upon the multi plicity of the Lord’s works. Th ey are manifest wherever one looks. These works are all for a wise purpose. There was no aimlessness in creation. As the result of the manifest design in all creation, the earth is full of the riches of the Lord. In view of all this the child of God ought to feel within him a compelling desire to praise the Lord continually. A true child of God is a praising child. Don’t let the note of praise go out of your life. W hen it does, it means that fellowship with the Lord has been broken.
