NEW BICSI CREDENTIAL HOLDERS CONGRATULATIONS! YOUR HARD WORK PAID OFF! COMMUNITY CORNER

I have been asked several times why I joined the BICSI Cares committee. There are two reasons that I chose this committee. My employer gave me the option to participate in a committee, and BICSI Cares needed volunteers at the time. The main, and most important reason is that my wife and I have a “special-needs” child. She was born with cerebral palsy and even though she has CP, we are blessed that it did not make her fully debilitated. If you do not have a child with a disability or know someone who does, it is hard to explain what takes place every day for the child and their parents. At the time she was born and while she was growing up, there wasn’t any outside support that we were aware of where we lived. It was a trying time for my wife and myself, as well as our daughter.
