At our inaugural Annual Sponsorship event, we were delighted to welcome more than 70 sponsors who joined us in the Chapman Room for drinks and canapés. It was a great opportunity to say thank you for their help in 2017.
Christ’s College has an impressive line-up of sponsors who support drama and a wide variety of sports. Because of this support, College is able to engage experts in their respective fields to coach and inspire our boys. Rugby: Reuben Thorne – Coach 1st XV. Former All Black and
Crusaders captain. Under his leadership the Crusaders had an unbeaten season in 2002. Cricket: Peter Fulton – Coach 1st X1. International Black Caps player – famous for his maiden century, extended to 301 not out, for Canterbury against Auckland in 2003. Peter went on to play
23 international tests, as well as playing 162 games for Canterbury. Basketball: Mark Dickel – Coach Senior Basketball squad. Former Tall Black. Mark represented New Zealand in two Olympic Games and two World Championships and also coaches the Canterbury Rams.
