It is my pleasure to enclose this gift of $10.00 for the Memorial Fund. May God richly bless you all.” CONFERENCE PLANNED Because of the overflow of people during BIOLA’s annual Mt. Hermon Bible Conference this year, advance notice is being given of the dates for 1960, the Lord willing. August 14 through 21 has been designated for this eight-day feast upon the Word of God. This past summer, all accommo dations were completely filled in the largest and best conference BIOLA has ever conducted at this beautiful Bible Conference Grounds. Next year, even greater emphasis will be placed on young people, but the conference will provide Christ-centered teaching and activities for every member of the family. RADIO MINISTRY Interest continues to grow in the FM development program of the Bible Institute of Los Angeles. Not only is KBBI on the air in Los An geles, but Station KLTT is projected for San Diego. Both stations broad cast throughout the day the glorious gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Biggest news this month, and as a matter of fact for the past several decades, is BIOLA’s move of training facilities to the La Mirada campus. The official opening of school has been set for September 21. Due to the prolonged labor strikes, and unavail ability of supplies, the date had to be postponed for several weeks. (Time will be made up during the Christmas recess.) Many of the students have expressed appreciation for this delay since it has allowed them opportunity to continue working as they prepare to start school. FREE PUBLICATION Just off the press, and being dis tributed to more than 40,000 BIOLA friends on our mailing list, is the latest edition of the La Mirada News. Descriptively telling in pictures the development up to this time, extra copies are available free upon request. One of the most interesting pictures in the La Mirada News is an air pho tograph taken of the campus on August 1. It shows the complete 60 acre site and location of all structures. BOEHMER MEMORIAL Many BIOLA friends have signi fied their interest in the Matilda Boehmer Memorial project. This will be the large lounge in the women’s dormitory. Letters have been received at BIOLA from around the world. Recently, Miss Mary Chen of Kow loon, Hongkong, wrote: “ I was deeply mournful as I received your letter and
