The spirit, however, is the God- breathed existence. Man died spiritually when he sinned. That is the reason why he has to be born again through ac­ cepting Jesus Christ as Saviour. At that point he is given a new spirit and becomes a new creation. As we go through Scripture we cannot help but be impressed in seeing the high value and esteem man is given by God.
