NOV NAČIN, NOV ŽIVOT NEW WAY, NEW LIFE
“New way - new life”, the large mural in Pop Lukina Street, was created jointly in 2003 by some of our old school graffiti artists, in collaboration with colleagues from the region. However, besides the fact that it brought together the best cartoonists of the time and that, from today’s perspective, it represents the transition into a new phase of Belgrade street art, this project is also important because it in some way announced their breakaway from illegality – it was created as part of Belef (the Belgrade Summer Fes- tival). For the first time, admirers of this form of ex- pression were able to see in broad daylight the artists whose creations had hitherto only appeared over- night on the walls, in the alleyways, around hidden corners ... Negre, Necone, Punk, Dekster, Dulait, Co- bes, Sub, Abs, Tish – these are just some of them.
„Nov način – nov život“, veliki mural u Pop Luki- noj ulici, 2003. zajedničkim snagama su uradili neki od naših old school grafitera u saradnji s kolegama iz regiona. Međutim, osim toga što je na jednom mestu okupio najbolje crtače tog vremena i što iz današnje perspektive predstavlja prelazak u novu fazu beograd- skog street arta , ovaj projekat je bitan zbog činjenice da je na neki način objavio njihov iskorak iz ilegale – urađen je u sklopu Belefa (Beogradskog letnjeg festi- vala). Prvi put su poštovaoci ovog načina izražavanja na dnevnom svetlu videli autore čije su kreacije dotad preko noći nicale na zidovima, u prolazima, po skrive- nim ćoškovima… Negre, Necone, Punk, Dekster, Dula- it, Cobes, Sub, Abs, Tish – samo su neki od njih.
