NIBA is thrilled to announce the winners of the CGU-partnered 2025 WA Broker of the Year and the Vero-partnered 2025 Young Broker of the Year awards. They were announced as part of the 2025 NIBA WA Gala Lunch, attended by nearly 600 professionals at The Crown, Perth on Friday, 11 July. The CGU-partnered 2025 WA Broker of the Year was awarded to Charles Elders from Avoca Insurance Brokers. The Broker of the Year celebrates the outstanding contributions of senior brokers to the profession and the wider community. The Vero-partnered 2025 WA Young Broker of the Year was awarded to Tom Wheeler from Lockton Companies Australia. The Young Broker of the Year celebrates the outstanding contributions of brokers under the age of 35. NIBA CEO Richard Klipin offered his congratulations to the WA winners and acknowledged the
finalists: “NIBA congratulates Charles and Tom for this fantastic achievement, wishing them the very best of luck for the national awards in October.” “NIBA thanks all the finalists for showcasing how brokers are elevating professional standards in the way they engage with their clients and the community,” Richard added. Dustin Bartley, CGU Executive Manager, Workers Compensation said, “CGU congratulates Charles as this year’s WA Broker of the Year state winner. The commitment of Charles to go above and beyond for his clients is why CGU is proud to partner with NIBA for the Broker of the Year award.” Charles and Tom will go on to compete for the national Broker and Young Broker of the Year awards respectively. The national winners will be revealed at the upcoming 2025 NIBA Convention at the Gold Coast in October.
