Recap: 2025 NIBA SA Gala Lunch
NIBA has revealed the winners of the CGU-partnered 2025 SA/ NT Broker of the Year and Vero- partnered 2025 SA/NT Young Broker of the Year awards. The awards were announced at a packed house at the Adelaide Oval, in the presence of more than 400 professionals. The CGU-partnered 2025 SA/NT Broker of the Year award was won by Martyn Luck from Gallagher. The Broker of the Year award recognises senior brokers who are elevating the standards of the insurance broking profession. The Vero-partnered 2025 SA/NT Young Broker of the Year award was awarded to Fabio Lucano from Aon. The award recognises brokers under the age of 35 who are elevating the standards of the insurance broking profession. Fabio and acknowledged the finalists: “I congratulate all the finalists for their commitment to professionalism and wish Martyn and Fabio the best of luck for the upcoming national awards in October.” NIBA CEO Richard Klipin congratulated Martyn and
Darren Virgo, CGU Business Development Manager SA, said: “On behalf of CGU, I would like to congratulate Martyn on winning this year’s SA/NT Broker of the Year award. Martyn has been recognised for his dedication to client advocacy and technical excellence, and we at CGU look forward to seeing what he achieves next.” Karen Thomas, Vero's Executive Manager, Commercial Insurance for SA/NT, said: "Fabio has demonstrated a strong focus on client advocacy and professional growth. It is dedicated brokers like Fabio who embody the values of the profession and reinforce why Vero has proudly supported NIBAʼs Young Broker of the Year award for more than three decades." Martyn and Fabio will now go on to compete for the national Broker and Young Broker of the Year awards respectively. The national winners will be announced in October at the 2025 NIBA Convention.
