TEXARKANA MAGAZINE
B uilt in 2021 in Red Lick, Texas, the Magness home may be relatively new, but its interiors are filled with pieces that carry memories and meaning. Tucked into the coziest, family-friendly neighborhood and mostly surrounded by trees, the home feels both connected and secluded, with a backyard fire pit offering a favorite spot to gather and watch the sunset. Inside, a love of grand-millennial style comes to life through an eclectic mix of family heirlooms, antiques, meaningful keepsakes, and new local finds. Nearly every room holds something with a story, from framed puzzle pieces completed by a beloved great-grandmother to an antique dining room chandelier, a family heirloom settee, and more contemporary pieces layered alongside them. That collected approach is perhaps best represented by the home’s statement plate wall, created by Amanda, the founder of The Plate Wall Co. and filled with everything from wedding china, estate-sale treasures, and newer pieces added in. Together, the mix gives the Magness home a style that feels personal, layered, and anything but predictable.
