Widen the westbound Rogers Road to provide an additional exclusive left-turn lane. Restripe the existing shared left/through lane as a through lane. Provide the additional left-turn lane with at least 450 feet of storage and an appropriate taper. Widen the northbound S Main Street approach to provide a left-turn lane, two through lanes and an exclusive free-flowing right-turn lane. Provide the right-turn lane with at least 150 feet of storage and an appropriate taper. Repurpose the existing second departure lane on the east leg as a receiving lane for the free-flowing right-turn lane. Widen the southbound S Main Street approach to provide an exclusive right turn lane with at least 200 feet of storage and an appropriate taper. Medium-Term Improvements Widen the eastbound Wake Forest-Rolesville Middle School Driveway approach with an exclusive left-turn lane. Provide the left-turn lane with at least 200 feet of storage and an appropriate taper. Extend the westbound Rogers Road (after the short- term improvement) to provide an additional exclusive left-turn lane, converting the shared left-through lane into an exclusive through lane. Provide the dual left-turn lanes with at least 600 feet of storage and an appropriate taper. Widen the northbound S Main Street approach with an additional through lane. Provide the right-turn lane with at least 200 feet of storage and an appropriate taper. Widen the southbound S Main Street approach to provide dual left-turn lanes, two through lanes and an exclusive right turn lane. Provide the dual left-turn lanes with at least 300 feet of storage and an appropriate taper.
