Two field engineers join Integrated Business Systems in Totowa, NJ IBS releases Version 2.0 of cloud-based lease management/accounting system
OTOWA, NJ — In- tegrated Business Systems (IBS) re- leased Version 2.0 of Impe- rium Powered by Acumatica, its cloud-based lease manage- ment/accounting system. The updated product adds com- mercial functionality for office, industrial and retail property owners and operators. The Imperium software of- fers deep strength stemming from IBS’s four-decade devel- opment history, particularly in the areas of escalations and recoveries, lease abstracts, and utility and tenant service billing. It can integrate seam- T
lessly with best-in-class ap- plications across multiple real estate services categories. This includes CRM and lease workflow products such as Hightower, building manage- ment solutions like Building Engines, and budgeting and valuation software such as ARGUS Enterprise – among many others. “The result is an accounting system that serves as a single source for capturing and pro- cessing real estate enterprise data,” said Michael Mullin , IBS president. “And because it is a cloud solution it ad- dresses the requirements of
an increasingly collaborative and mobile – anytime, any- one, anyplace – business world. With Imperium, orga- nizations can manage their operations with high efficien- cy through a product that will grow with their needs.” IBS launched Imperium Version 1.0 in February. The initial release focused on the multifamily space, address- ing the full range of tasks associated with operating rental apartments, condo and co-op boards, and homeown- ers’ associations. The product can integrate with popular third-party tenant screening,
residential portal and other applications specific to that sector. “We designed Imperium to help real estate organizations increase operational efficiency and improve the bottom line,” said IBS’s Stephen Hirsch , the senior consultant who spearheaded the Imperium development. “With Ver- sion 2.0, the software now meets every real estate lease management and accounting need.” The system is scalable and customizable for private and public enterprises of any size, from just a few users to hundreds of operators.
IBS introduced its legacy property management and accounting product in 1979, and the system has evolved based on changing customer needs and commensurate with technological advances. In 2015, the firm partnered with Acumatica, a leading provider of cloud enterprise resource planning software, to develop Imperium. The re- sulting product pairs IBS with Acumatica’s technologically advanced delivery platform. “The cloud will drive tech- nology for years to come,” Mullin said. “We partnered with Acumatica to distill the most important functions of our legacy system into Im- perium. In short, we have created an attractive upgrade path for our current custom- ers, and a powerful solution for new clients.” In other news... Two additional field engi- neers have joined Integrated Business Systems (IBS) in Totowa. The team expansion responds to stepped-up activi- ty within the technology firm’s Managed IT Services division, according to Michael Mullin. Henry Osias of Rahway, NJ, and Ian Liberato of Pompton Plains, NJ, are working directly with IBS clients, providing adminis- tration and support for their computer and networking technologies. Osias comes to IBS with 10 years of technology indus- try experience and recently graduated from PC Age with a certificate in Internet engi- neering. “IBS is opening new doors for me to grow as an IT professional,” he said. “This position is truly hands on, and it is gratifying to be putting what I learned at PC Age into practice.” Liberato, who served in the U.S. Navy until 2015, earned an information security cer- tificate from County College of Morris. “I was eager to get into the field at a company with a great support system and a close-knit team,” he said. “I have found that at IBS, which has made the transition to my new career a positive one.” Mullin notes that IBS is experiencing notable growth within the Managed IT Ser- vices arena. The 37-year-old boutique firm offers a full suite of technology consult- ing and support services for clients in diverse industries. n
