What is the meaning of life? This is the fundamental question of the human being. And the answer to that question marks the mood and wealth (or misery) of existence. It can also give clues to finding the path that leads to one’s own happiness and to that of others. In this book, the author studies several cases of people who raised that question, and others who found the answer almost without looking for it. They all agree that, upon discovering the calling of Jesus Christ, they experienced what Pope Francis calls “the stupor of an encounter.” This book, which aims to open new horizons for the youth, appears at a very appropriate time when the Church is seeking to study the faith and vocational discernment of the youth of the new millennium. Based on the experience of the university meetings found at the origin of the text, his style seeks to combine rigor in exegesis with anecdotes and quotes from contemporary authors and saints.
