I was excited when I first arrived in Italy 18 years ago to play for Lazio. Bel- grade is a metropolis, but Rome is somet- hing else. Grandiose, loud and fast. And yet, when you get to know it, all at once you have it in the palm of your hand. You grasp its secrets, traverse its streets, go out from the centre and see that Rome is so much more than what is offered by the city cen- tre. Italy has long been my second home, but I remember that I first fell in love with the food here. At that time, back in 1998, pasta was not as popular in Belgrade as it is today, so I discovered a new culinary world that I am still hopelessly in love with today. At that time my favourite dish was pasta quattro formaggi, with four phenomenal Italian cheeses, but today I prefer the one with seafood. Nevertheless, despite all the advantages of Rome, when I came to Milan and played for Inter I re- alised that it was actually this city

U to vreme, davne 1998, u Beogradu pasta nije bila tako popularna kao da- nas, pa sam otkrio jedan nov kulinarski svet u koji sam i danas beznadežno zaljubljen.
