Are Your Clubs Ready for the Golf Season? When was the last time you had your clubs re-gripped? Eighteen months is the absolute maximum you should wait to change your grips because slick or worn grips can have a negative impact on your game, like driving on worn tires. Maintaining proper grip pressure is essential in making a smooth swing, but worn grips require tighter grip pressure which inhibits the swing. Worn grips are especially slippery in wet conditions. Degradation is gradual, so you may not even realize how worn they’ve gotten. Stop in either Golf Shop or have a Pro look at your grips. The CWGO golf season is underway! Mid-week play will begin in ARL on Wednesday, 3 May , and in FFX on Thursday, 4 May, 20. Saturday play continues in May with a play date on May 6 at ARL, followed by our second tournament of the year at FFX on May 13 – our Annual Charity Scramble. Our last scheduled Saturday play in May is on May 20 at ARL. Sign-ups will be online here . Save the date for the 2nd Annual CWGO/WGO-18 Member - Guest Tournament. You can bring 1 guest and pair with another Member-Guest or invite 3 guests to make your own foursome. The theme this year is “It’s Your Lucky Day at Army Navy.” It will be a 2-day event beginning with an evening “Fun Par 3 Challenge” on June 27 (optional) followed with the tournament on June 28. ANCC CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP
The 2017 ANCC Club Championship is the tournament that matches your golf skills 1-on-1 with each of your fellow competitors. This championship will include both a Men’s and Women’s Division for the championship ONLY (Flighted Match Play Tournament will begin in June).
