Composing and Technology We are fortunate to have Cecilia McDowall, a composer of international reputation, as our Visiting Composer. Cecilia makes frequent visits to the College and is able to provide one-to-one supervision to students at GCSE, AS and A2 level. She has also given a number of fascinating talks on the art of composition.

Following an enthusiastic and interactive talk given by Dr Berta Joncus, the Head of their Music department, we were given a tour of their new music studios and it was a fantastic experience to see a top studio in action. Other opportunities for composers have included individual tutorials with Professor Robin Holloway (Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge), a seminar on the processes of composition by Professor David Osbon, and coaching by a Songwriter in Residence, Luke Ritchie OA (1986-96).
