DFNC NATURE NOVELTIES SWAP SHOP Find something neat on the street? Want to talk about your cool rock? On the second Saturday of each month, children and adults will be able to bring in their nature finds to swap for other curiosities or nature center novelties. Be sure to check the DFNC webpage for the rules and regulations for nature finds as some might be illegal depending on their species.
FIELD TRIP PROGRAMS The Delores Fenwick Nature Center is now booking field trips for the 2022-23 school year. During each field trip, groups will be able to discover the traits of a healthy ecosystem, learn ways to help protect natural areas and, of course, meet live animals. These educational programs are designed by grade level and are TEK- aligned. Reservations are required at a minimum of two weeks in advance. Pricing begins at $8 per participating child. ENVIRONMENTAL EXPLORERS On your mark . . . Get set . . . EXPLORE! Environmental Explorers is a free, nature-based education program for children of all ages. Participants can expect to sing songs, and hear stories while applying STEM concepts to explore the natural environment around the DFNC. Preregistration is required to attend this program and parents/guardians are required to stay with children during the program. Program topics are posted each month on the DFNC Facebook page, facebook.com/ deloresfenwicknaturecenter .
