Agency of International Cooperation. This dependency puts at risk the continu- ation of the programmes. QAR strongly recommends The University of the West Indies to invest in ensuring that there are sufficient full-time core staff in DMLL to maintain the programmes. The QAR is impressed by the energy, commitment, creativity and flexibility of coordinators and instructors despite limited resources. There are ample opportu- nities for post graduate employment, scholarships and travel to China and Japan, well supported library collection, facilities such as the labs. The construction of the Confucius Institute (CI) facilities language learning and cultural activities. The QA Review will be circulated to the staff members from both Programmes, Mandarin and Japanese, to read, discuss and prepare the Action Plan during Semester I AY2023–2024. MARKETING INITIATIVES To make information more accessible to the students the DMLL has revised the Handbook and updated the Website. The Handbook which was still containing certain inaccuracies is being updated. The DMLL Website has been updated to give an improved friendly and attractive look where students can easily find all information related to the study of Modern Languages and Literatures. Both the Handbook and Website will include more standardized and updated information including: − staff teaching, research interests and further information such as their email address. − particulars requested by students such as clear course codes, new titles and descriptions, scholarships, and mobility opportunities, etc. − programme offerings including the 2022–2023 updates in accordance with the updated Rationalization carried out by the DMLL. The New M.A. in Languages, Literatures and Film Studies was regularly advertised through flyers on Mona Messaging as well as the M.A. in Translation and the MPhil. The M.A. in Translation is advertised across the Caribbean region. The M.A. in Translation is offered not only nationwide but internationally and it is fully delivered online. The Programme is the only MA in Translation in the Caribbean region and prepares students professionally. The DMLL has advertised all sections Major Programmes, Minor Programmes and Interdisciplinary Programmes. Examples of such flyers are the minors in Chinese (Mandarin) and Japanese, B.A in French and International Relations,
