Double Major in Spanish and International Relations which have been circulating throughout the semester on Mona Messaging. Develop promotional testimonials in the form of videos. The series of “Two Min- utes with the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures” videos launched on Mona Messaging, on the Department’s Website and on YouTube in AY 2021–2022 have been continued. These videos feature alumni and current students who share their experiences at the Department and express positive responses to the pro- grammes, mobility exchanges, etc. This continues attracting students’ attention that translates into telephone queries, emails, visits, messages on the modlang page about the Department. The Marketing and Communications Department has also used these videos in their promotional visits to schools and we have included them in Departmental events such as Modern Languages and Literatures Day. Webinar Session. This Webinar was held on October 27, 2022. The DMLL facili- tated an Outreach Webinar “Broaden your horizon”. The webinar was designed to provide information about the Department to Jamaican Students and encourage them to pursue not only Preliminary courses, but to continue their foreign language studies by joining the programmes at the Department. Information was also shared about career options in languages and the value of possessing a foreign language when pursuing careers in areas such as business, tourism, and marketing. The live session was attended by 5 schools. The recorded session uploaded on YouTube has received over 170 views since. The session included engaging presentations by all sections of the Department, and it also included interactive games, quizzes, alumni “Two Minute videos”, etc. Attendance to career fairs. On February 28, 2023, the DMLL took part in the career fair held at Jamaica College. Miss Yasmin Sadeghi and Mr. Lorenzo Lynch were representing the Department. On March 2, 2023, the DMLL took part in the career fair held at St. Andrew High School for Girls. Ms. Selena Hamilton and Dr. Villoria represented the department. The students took particular interest in knowing that the DMLL offered Asian languages. On March 15, 2023, Dr. Villoria visited Immaculate Conception High School where she promoted the Department programmes. Lunch Hour courses. Beginners Spanish, Intermediate Spanish and Beginners Chinese were offered and taught during the first semester 2022–2023 (6 weeks). Beginners Chinese was offered and taught during the second semester 2022–2023 (6 weeks). Modern Languages and Literatures Day was held on March 23, 2023 . This year’s staging of Modern Languages and Literature’s Day was fully presential. There was great participation from Embassies, and the Ambassadors from France, Germany, China and Japan gave presentations at the Opening Ceremony about the importance
