INTRODUCTION Continuity, consolidation and creativity were essential themes responsible for our success in the Academic Year 2022/2023. The Institute of Caribbean Studies (ICS) hosted all three (3) annual lectures, namely: The Stuart Hall Distinguished Lecture, the Bob Marley Lecture and Walter Rodney Lecture. Additionally, the ICS continued its international academic partnerships and also excelled in our teaching and research. WORK OF THE DEPARTMENT In alignment with the UWI’s Strategic Plan, the ICS expanded the areas of Cultural Studies and Applied Cultural Studies within the University.
ACCESS
The ICS expanded its programme offerings to fill the gaps within the field of Cul- tural Studies and employed competent staff to deliver courses at a high standard. Undergraduate Student Awards The Table below summarises the ICS prizes for students who excelled academically:
