istration and assessment with the respective programmes in the UWI Cave Hill and St Augustine campuses. Additional postgraduate programmes offered by the department include the Fellowship in Neonatology, and the Post-graduate Diplomas in Loss, Grief and Trauma Management and Adolescent Health and Advocacy. Faculty members also teach courses in child and adolescent health related areas or provide research and clinical supervision to students enrolled in undergraduate programmes in Nursing and Midwifery and postgraduate programmes in Bio- medical Research, Clinical Psychology, Education, Nutrition, Family Medicine, Epidemiology and Public Health. During 2022–2023 the department cautiously transitioned to face-to-face teaching and instruction following on previous modifications in delivery of teaching, learning and assessment in congruence with the dynamics of the COVID 19 pandemic and government mandated infection control protocols. The department provides in-patient clinical services through two paediatric med- ical wards, the newborn special care unit which includes a neonatal intensive care unit and a neonatal high dependency unit. Out-patient clinical services are deliv- ered through general and sub-specialty clinics in adolescent medicine, cardiology, development and behaviour, endocrinology, gastroenterology, haematology and oncology, infectious diseases, neonatology follow-up, nephrology, neurology, and pulmonology and a Paediatric Casualty.
