Role responsibilities:

• Develop and implement energy and carbon management, and sustainability strategies, polices and action plans, to ensure the University’s corporate sustainable development. • Ensure compliance with applicable environmental legislation; keeping up-to-date with national and international regulation and legislation. • Manage quality and regulatory audit process for energy and carbon management and sustainability over-arching systems and procedures. • Carry out impact assessments to identify, assess and reduce an organisation’s environmental risks and financial costs. • Produce communications for sustainability promotion and reporting purposes, designing and structuring information and facts, applying creative and innovative principles to influence and engage. • Deliver professional expertise with investigative and service methodologies, make recommendations, identify priorities and set energy, carbon reduction and sustainability targets to achieve business outcomes and objectives. • Maintain an oversight of the service and performance metrics to provide sustainability reports for higher level managers and committees. • Coordinate all aspects of energy, carbon waste management, recycling, environmental health, conservation and renewable energy. • Work with team members and stakeholders to build and maintain excellent working relationships. • Provide professional guidance to stakeholders regarding environmental and sustainability issues..
• Develop, produce and interpret appropriate KPIs and benchmarking data.

Specific Role requirements
• May be required to work evenings and weekends, as business demands.
• There may be a requirement for the post-holder to participate in local on-call arrangements, as relevant to this role.
• Attend all training and development, as required.
