A tough week for the Rockland Nationals

The Nats lost 2-1 to the Navan Grads the next day, on Sunday October 29, in what was amore evenlymatched game. Mathieu Blan- chette scored the sole goal for the Rockland Nats, earning him the third star of the game. Captain Zachary Salloumand Seth Carter of the Grads received the second and first star of the game, respectively. The three consecutive losses leave the Nats record at (11-9-1-1). Will the Nats be able to turn things around?The teamhits the ice again onThursday, November 2, against the Cornwall Colts, and will play at home against the Carleton Place Canadians the following day. The team will end the week against the Smiths Falls Bears on Sunday, November 5.
The Rockland Nationals Junior A team recorded a tough week– losing all three of their games last week. The Nats fell to the Ottawa Junior Senators on Wednesday, October 25 during an away game, losing 5-4. Drew Shields, Mathieu Blanchette, Cole Lavoie and Trevor Coyken- dall each picked up a goal during thematch. Coykendall was the only Nats player to earn a star, named second star of the game for his one goal and one assist. Things took another turn for the worst when the Nats were defeated in what was a shutout win for the Hawkesbury Hawks.The Hawks defeated the Nats 6-0 on Saturday, October 28. L’équipe des Nationals Junior A de Rockland a connu une semaine difficile, perdant ses trois matchs la semaine dernière. Ces trois défaites consécutives laissent le record de Nats à (11-9-1-1). L’équipe affrontera de nouveau les Colts de Cornwall sur la glace, le jeudi 2 novembre et jouera à domicile contre les Canadians de Carleton Place, le vendredi 3 novembre. Le Crush Peewee Mineur remporte la deuxième place
L’équipe Crush PeeweeMineur a fini en deuxième place (sur 16 équipes au total) lors du tournoi Volunteer Capital Cup de Cumberland, les 20, 21 et 22 octobre dernier. L’équipe a commencé le tournoi avec une défaite de 2-1 contre les Spitfires d’Enrindale. Les joueurs se sont bien repris enmain et ont remporté les quatrematchs suivants. Lors dumatch final, l’équipe s’est inclinée par lamarque de 3-1 contre les 99ners de Brantford. Un weekend de défaites pour les Castors de Clarence
Les Castors de Clarence ont perdu leurs deux matchs de hockey la fin de semaine dernière. L’équipe mineure a perdu 6-3 au cours d’un match sur la route, le samedi 28 octobre contre les Rockets de North Dundas. Le lendemain, à domicile, les Castors ont inscrit une autre défaite au compte de 6-4, contre les Jets de Metcalfe. Les Castors auront la chance de se reprendre ce vendredi 3 novembre contre l’équipe des Blackburn Inferno. Les Castors joueront contre les Bandits de Cumberland le dimanche 5 novembre, les Rangers de South Grenville le samedi 11 novembre et les Royals de Bytown le dimanche 12 novembre. —photo d’archives
