Gretchen Dorian ABOUT: Gretchen Dorian is a

photographer who has a passion for water. She photographs boats, whether power or sail, on water or ice. She lives in Brutus, MI. Gretchen graduated in photography from the Paier College of Art in Hamden, CT. She has been exhibiting her work for many years and participating in juried exhibitions throughout the United States, Czech Republic, and Spain. She has won numerous awards, and her work has also been published in numerous regional and national publications. She was also one of the founders of the Crooked Tree Photographic Society. As a photographer, Gretchen now incorporates the encaustic process into her current work. In 2019, she attended her first photo encaustic workshop, which was taught by Clare O’Neill of Minneapolis. She has a working encaustic studio in her garage apartment and has fallen in love with everything and anything encaustic. The majority of her photographic work reflects her passion for water.
