Dr. Leupold uses his own literal trans lation from the Hebrew and paraphrases extensively. Although this is not a devo tional book,, there are appropriate appli cations of scriptural truth, and at the close of each chapter valuable homi- letical suggestions appear. A splendid introduction and full bibliography are included. There are frequent quotations from Luther, and the interpretation, although somewhat Lutheran, is emi nently sound, and the Bible is exalted as, the very Word of God, divinely in spired.
