Small and friendly campus Compared to other Higher Education providers, our campus is much smaller than a traditional university campus. This means we are able to offer more intimate class sizes, quick access to equipment and convenient use of facilities, all based in one place. Vibrant town centre Just a few minutes’ drive from some of the UK’s most spectacular countryside, Barnsley is also located just a short distance from Sheffield and Leeds and is easily accessible from the M1. The Glass Works, Barnsley’s impressive new shopping and leisure destination which opened in September 2021, is a short walk from Barnsley College University Centre and hosts several popular retailers and eateries including River Island, Flannels, Fridays and Nando’s.
Our tuition fees are just £5,995* per year for full-time courses. This is considerably less than many other Higher Education providers. Part-time course fees are calculated on a course-by-course basis. There are a number of funding options available to those eligible. Supportive learning environment Alongside supportive teaching from our brilliant academic staff, support is also on hand for a range of issues from our Student Services team and Students’ Union. Our Job Shop, based at our Old Mill Lane campus just down the street from Barnsley College University Centre, is also on hand to help you with various aspects of securing employment after completing your studies. Our degree programmes are validated by the University of Hull, Leeds Trinity University and Sheffield Hallam University.
