Find the right course for you Deciding which course to choose can be daunting, but we have a wide range so there is sure to be something to suit you. We offer the following: Foundation degrees, Higher National Certificates (HNCs) and Higher National Diplomas (HNDs) HNCs are Level 4 qualifications which take one year to complete full time, or two years part-time. HNDs and Foundation degrees are Level 5 qualifications that typically take two years to complete when studied full-time. You can undertake a further year of study after successfully completing a foundation degree or a HND to be awarded a Bachelor’s degree (Level 6). Undergraduate degrees Level 6 qualifications are Bachelor of Arts with Honours (BA Hons) or Bachelor of Science with Honours (BSc Hons) that typically take three years to study on a full-time basis. Which one you graduate with depends on the course you choose. Higher and Degree Level Apprenticeships Higher and Degree Apprenticeships offer an alternative to full-time study. You combine work with study to gain skills, knowledge and work experience which provides the opportunity to improve your career prospects. Please go to page 44 for further information. Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs)
A HTQ is an alternative to a traditional degree, or a Higher or Degree-level Apprenticeship. They are qualifications approved against standards set by employers and offer an alternative study option if you want a more practical, employer-led next step. We offer HTQs in Computing, Construction and Engineering starting in September 2024.
